Types of Larder & Pantry Cupboards

Our range of larder cupboards are a joy for the organised chef or home cook, all your ingredients are close at hand, so cooking is a pleasure, and of course, you can use the units to store whatever you like, from dry goods to your favourite crocks.

Freestanding Two-Part Larder Cupboard

This simple two-part cupboard has a two-door base unit, with a single shelf as well as a 50mm void to allow for pipework and to scribe the unit to fit your kitchen. The tall cupboard has four adjustable shelves, for flexible storage, and two full-length doors so you can see what you need at a glance. The unit is available in 900mm-1200mm length, with a 500mm base and 400mm top. It’s 2150mm high and comes with a cornice, which can be removed if you prefer. Like the rest of our freestanding kitchen units, our larder cupboards are constructed entirely from solid timber and can be customised with your choice of handles or colours.

Freestanding Single Pantry Cupboard

Ideal if you love the idea of larder cupboards but space is a little limited, a single pantry cupboard is a great choice for smaller kitchens or quirky spaces. You get all the benefits of having floor to ceiling storage, like having your cooking ingredients close at hand, in one compact unit. This small larder cupboard is 2200mm high (2350mm are needed for ceiling clearance), 600mm deep and ranges from 400mm - 650mm long. It has a 50mm void in the back to allow us to scribe out the unit as required and to house any pipework. The unit comes with a cornice that is 645mm deep and between 490mm - 740mm long – this is supplied fixed but can be left loose if required.

Clever design means you get maximum storage space. The base unit has a single fixed shelf, and the top cupboard has three adjustable shelves mounted on sockets and brass banjos, so you can organise the space as you wish. The cupboards are separated by a drawert, which can be single or double and is a great space for storing special spices, or just all those essentials that need a handy home. The drawers are mounted on traditional wooden runners, or you can choose soft runners for a small extra charge. Handcrafted with sturdy dovetail joints, and fitted with strong metal catches, this is a practical piece that will be at home in any of our bespoke kitchens.

Freestanding Four Door Pantry Cupboard

One of the joys of working with us to create your perfect kitchen is that you can truly tailor your storage to meet your needs. Larder cupboards can meet a range of storage requirements, giving home to linens and kitchen equipment as well as their traditional role in keeping busy cooks organised with all their essential ingredients close at hand. The design of this four-door unit is aimed at giving you maximum flexibility, and maximum storage. It sits 2200mm high (ceiling clearance must be 2350mm) and comes in lengths of 800mm-1200mm, with a depth of 500mm. The cupboard has a 50mm void at the back, which gives ample space for any pipework and allows you to scribe as required, to be sure of a perfect fit against any walls that are less than true. The cornice adds an extra 90mm length and is 545mm deep. It can be supplied separately at your request.

Like all our units, this kitchen larder cupboard is handcrafted from solid pine and features strong dovetail joints and magnetic door catches for maximum durability. The shelves are fitted on brass banjos so you can adjust them as you wish. Plain doors lend themselves to a range of handles and if you would like to change from the classic wooden knob you can choose from a simple cup handle, a range of d handles as well as several porcelain designs including crackle finish.

Two Part Larder Cupboard with Drawers

Offering a variety of storage options, this larder cupboard will meet many needs in your new kitchen. The four drawers could be a space to house your linens and tableware, a place for all those baking tins and equipment, or somewhere to keep spices cool and dry. The cupboard has adjustable shelves that could accommodate cooking ingredients, glassware or dinnerware amongst a host of other uses. This clever design of this unit means you’ve maximum flexibility. It works hard to make the most of your space, and our skilled team will work closely with you to help you decide what will work best.

The cupboard is available in lengths from 900mm to 1200mm, on a 500mm deep base unit with a 400mm deep top cupboard separated by a 20mm thick solid oak worktop. It sits 2150mm high and comes in two parts for easy transportation and fitting. The four drawers are set on mechanical soft close runners, and durable dovetail joints work alongside roller catches to ensure maximum longevity. As with all of our freestanding kitchen units, you can customise your colours, opting for soft sages and blues, rich reds or classic cream, so you can create a kitchen that reflects your individual style, as well as meeting your practical needs.

Glazed Larder Cupboard

Our glazed larder cupboard has the potential to be a real focal point for your new kitchen. As well as offering practical storage space, the glazed doors mean you can display your favourite dinnerware, a collection of beautiful glasses, or all those wonderfully packaged goods from your favourite deli. Two drawers are ideal for cutlery or prized ingredients, or just miscellaneous bits and pieces that you need close at hand. The base cupboard has a fixed shelf, doubling its capacity and giving a great home for things that need to be stored away from direct sunlight. This larder cupboard comes in lengths of 900mm to 1200mm and sits 2100mm high. The unit has a 50mm void which allows for routing of pipework, as well as for youto scribe the unit to fit any walls that are not square. The drawers sit on wooden runners, or you can choose soft-close mechanical runners for a nominal charge.

As with all our kitchens, this larder cupboard is a perfect blend of traditional style with traditional craftsmanship, and you’ll find sturdy dovetail joints and magnetic catches to give maximum durability. It’s fully customisable, and the plain doors work well with our choice of handles, ranging from plain cup, stylish D handles or you can opt to keep things simple with the classic wooden knobs that are included with all our units. You can choose from a variety of colours too, opting for gentle greys and creams, or creating a focal point by plumping for rich York red or Lancashire blue.
